Michael has been building and designing wood pieces for nearly a decade. After studying environmental science and economics at UC Santa Cruz he developed a passion for building furniture. When provided the opportunity to set up a small wood shop on the westside of Santa Cruz in 2017, Oxford Design was born. Michael loves bringing custom ideas to life and looks forward to working on your project.

Katie steers the design elements and manages the marketing for Oxford Design. She grew up in Santa Cruz and studied design at the Fashion Institute in New York. Her background in interior design, event design, and 3D modeling makes her a huge asset to the team. Shop with confidence knowing Katie recommended a piece to fit your space.

Jack is a skilled carpenter with a strong background in woodworking and unconventional construction, including treehouses and sustainable building. His deep appreciation for nature, sustainable living and permaculture design helps shape his understanding of materials and long-term durability, and blend his approach from aesthetic form to functionality.

Jax is a six year old golden that thinks he is a person. His hobbies include sleeping in, eating pancakes, chewing wood scraps, and going absolutely crazy at the beach.
